Getting fit will likely be among your New Year’s resolutions. To help with this, Apple Fitness+ will start a new set of features on January 6. Apple designed the fitness service to work harmoniously with both your iPhone and your Apple Watch and has made the updates to make it inspire more active and sustained wellness goals for its users.
Strength Training in a New Perspective
The update introduces a progressive strength training program to help build and maintain muscle effectively. With a dozen 30-minute workouts, the program targets every major muscle group, ensuring users can achieve their fitness goals step by step.
Yoga with a Twist
The new addition to the yoga content is “Yoga Peak Poses” sessions in Fitness+. These are workshop-style experiences where users can master specific poses, such as Dancer, Twisted Hand to Big Toe, and Crow, to deepen practice and build confidence.
Pickleball Training
The most popular sport currently is pickleball, and it’s now featured as a dedicated program on Fitness+, with training with professional champion Catherine Parenteau, who will focus on strength, endurance, and agility, based on exercises inspired by her personal regimen.
 Dance and Meditation
The fitness section welcomes dancer Alex Wong with a special 20-minute dance workout that can raise your heart rate and keep you energized. For those who want to relax, new Breath Meditation sessions can help reduce stress and improve focus.
Artist Spotlight and Time to Walk Updates
The Apple Artist Spotlight series is also being supplemented with Janet Jackson, Coldplay, and Bruno Mars, all arriving mid-January. Time to Walk gets a refresh with inspiring stories from notable personalities such as actor Adam Scott, producer Steve Aoki, and popstar Rita Ora.
Strava Collaboration
Apple Fitness+ has added support for Strava, offering new ways to track and share your fitness journey. The free access for three months will help Strava subscribers get in the groove.
These upgrades make it possible for Apple Fitness+ to keep on bringing fun, personalized workouts that will make health and wellness a priority this year.
